Magma Architecture is an independent studio led by Esra Yilmaz Ugur, MSc Architect — working across residential, hospitality, institutional and interior projects.
A grand Tuscan-inspired manor built around a still-water courtyard and arched colonnades — an ultra-private sanctuary of warm natural materials.
A contemporary residence of clean geometric lines, opening toward a pool court and garden that extend its modern language outdoors.
A hillside complex that steps with the topography around a shared pool and terraces, giving each home privacy within a collective landscape.
A 41,100 m² thermal wellness resort where pools blur the indoor–outdoor threshold, woven into the topography as one continuous facility.
A vertical office on a tight urban site — its green podium and planted timber ‘living facade’ with automated irrigation turn the envelope into growing architecture.
A 15,000 m² hangar and technical complex for the Coast Guard Command at Izmir Airport — civic presence given to a technical program.
A warm, child-centred family interior dissolved into one fluid living area — bespoke down to a dedicated dressing room.
Esra Yilmaz Ugur is an architect and the founder of Magma. She holds a Master of Science in Computational Architecture from Yildiz Technical University and a professional degree from Karadeniz Technical University, with an Erasmus year in Alghero, Italy.
Across fifteen years she has led work spanning healthcare, aviation, housing, hospitality and interiors — at Oge Architects, Plan Z Architecture and Memorial Healthcare Group — before founding Magma. She believes good space comes not from ornament, but from proportion, material and light.
She also founded Magmaviz, a visualization studio where her architectural review shapes every image.
